Charles McGuinness joined Cullen in 2007. Charles' diverse background of experience assists his employment law advocacy, especially in creating practical outcomes and in understanding the objectives of both employees and employers. He provides strategic employment advice, attends mediations regularly and represents clients in the Employment Relations Authority. He has represented both employee and employer clients in employment investigations and has carried out employment investigations as an independent reviewer.

Charles regularly presents seminars on employment law matters.

Previously Charles had developed a career as an Art Director of films and television shows. Highlights included working on the Survivor television show in the Amazon and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe film. He has worked in Wellington, Auckland, Australia and Brazil.

In his spare time Charles is keen on tramping and mountain biking. Hiking around Lake Waikaremoana with his family and exploring the Nelson Lakes area are recent highlights.
